The circus site in Hatert borders De Elshof nature reserve. The site is easily accessible and shopping facilities are in close proximity.

Despite the great location, development of the site had to be postponed in late 2008 because of the financial crisis.

In 2016, DUQER saw an opportunity to reinitiate the development by joining forces with Giesbers Wijchen and buyer AMVEST.
